English at this stage of learning (3 to 5 years old) is designed so that pupils learn in a natural way, as they interact with their immediate environment, spontaneously and passionately, so they can in a progressive way, effortlessly and without realizing it, to increase their inner circle to a more distant one.
To teach children is necessary to know them well and recognize what they are able to do and what not (the development stage in which they are), how they learn, things that amuse them and their personal and social reality. Only in this way the foundation of an effective learning for the future is based.
Our methodological basis lie in:
Kids need the confidence and security of daily routines, organized with a clear structure. Our routines are:
Children love and need repetition. If something amuses them, they want to do it again and again.
Convey the feeling that the world around us is fascinating.
Children need to be themselves. They learn by interacting with the world around them and opening more and more to others.
Setting realistic goals to help them success in their learning and feel that they can learn by trying things over and over again. The targets are set according to what they can do at every stage.
Children love prizes for doing the right thing. Stickers, a small diploma or verbal motivation help them to fix their learning.
According to this theory, kids acquire language if the verbal orders give then a physical response, throughout mime, actions and gestures as a part of the constant learning. Songs, the phonics letters sounds and new vocabulary are introduced this way.
They are activities designed to simulate real life situations through the treater (e.g. at the supermarket, a robbery at the toy shop) so children can practice effectively a guided real life speaking.
Designed so children can understand and connect properly the four skills of English Language: reading, speaking, writing and listening, as they came into the school. Following the Jolly Phonics methodology, created and designed in United Kingdom, children will be able to understand the different English letter sounds and digraphs so different that the Spanish ones. That will improve their pronunciation and listening understanding. It will make them become confident communicators.
